Chromebook Station Gets Lots of Visitors

Student reports a missing AC charger

One of the busiest places in Frisco High School is the Chromebook station. Students are frequently coming up to Ms. Romero with questions; of all kinds; regarding their Chromebook. She hears some questions more often than others.

“The biggest problem with the student’s Chromebooks, is that they don’t charge their Chromebooks. So when they come to school, and their chromebook isn’t working, they come to me, asking for a charger.”

If a student loses their charger, a new one can be purchased for 39$ at the chromebook station or online. It’s very significant that the charger is the same brand as the chromebook, otherwise, you’ll just have two different useless products.

“We have three different models. A Samsung, Del, and Hp, and they all have three different chargers.”

Ms. Romero fancies certain factors about being the chromebook lady.

“My favorite part about this job is interacting with the students, and I was in IT for many years, then I was an assistant at the cafe. Then I got the opportunity to work at the chromebook station and help students with any issues with the chromebooks.”

It’s best if we all work together to remind each of us; and ourselves; to take responsibility for the chromebooks. It’s also good to remember the hard work and positive attitude Ms.Romero brings to the FHS everyday. For more information, please listen to the audio interview.
