Is Halloween Too Childish?
How old is too old to trick or treat?
People love the Fall time of year. It is when you get to wear comfy, cute clothes and drink warm apple cider but it is also when several holidays start to become near, specifically Halloween. A holiday celebrated every year as a child where we got to dress up to be whatever we could imagine and get what felt like all the candy in the world.
As we are getting older now, is Halloween too childish to enjoy?
“Of course not!” said Amanda Brooks from California. “I am 35[years old] and still make big halloween plans every year for my friends and I. We dress up and make plenty of snacks for a night of a lot of fun.”
Many high school students still have Halloween plans this year, the freshman all the way through the seniors. Some on the younger side are still going trick or treating but people are finding all different ways to celebrate the spooky holiday. Most teenagers still dress up for the fun of it. And costumes are more creative than ever with many friend groups creating collaborative group costumes. There are many events in the community to attend and people hosting fun events in their own home.
Choir teacher, Mrs. Bradstreet, in a joking manner told students, “I think you guys are a bit too old to still be trick or treating.”
The consensus of high schoolers seems to be that Halloween is absolutely for everyone but we might be getting too old to trick or treat.
