Trunk or Treat at Frisco High

Trick or Treating with a Twist

This past October, Frisco High School hosted a ‘Trunk or Treat’ event in their parking in front of the auditorium. This was an event in collaboration with the school’s ‘Best Buddies” program, but everyone in the community was welcome to participate in the festivities.

“Each club from our school brought their own trunks” Ankita Arade, a volunteer at the event explained. FHS clubs and organizations such as HOSA, IB, Basketball, etc., brought cars to distribute candy for trick-or-treaters.

In addition to giving out candy, each trunk had a Halloween-themed game for the people of the community and best buddies to enjoy. “I volunteered for the IB club, and our game was put the spider on the web.” Ankita said. Other games included pumpkin tic-tac-toe, twister, and more.

The entire event was bustling with activity and families enjoying their time celebrating the spooky season. Snacks and of course, candy could be found in every direction. Many children and adults from the community came dressed up in their Halloween costumes that were both scary, comedic, and intriguing. Smiles and an entertained atmosphere surrounded the event, and it was a memorable experience for many people.

“I’m going to go next year,” said one student, “and I think a lot of other people should too.”
