FISD Bruce Eubanks Natatorium

Many people don’t know, but Frisco High School has a swim team! They train very hard every morning in the FISD natatorium. The swimmers are so disciplined and devoted to their sport that they train during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Spring break.

The swimmers are always focused on getting faster and perfecting their technique. “Every time we have a swim meet,” said a sophomore on the team, “I push myself to become better and be faster.”

Our team compete with students from other FISD high schools. The District meet was held on January 20. Team members recall being nervous because the outcome of the District meet determines if they proceed to regionals.

“I was very nervous because I really wanted to make it to regionals,” said a junior on the team. “I gave it my all and ended up making it to regionals!”

The swimmers love the sport and are determined to get better and continue to keep giving it their all. “Being on the swim team has really made me a better swimmer,” said a sophomore swimmer. “I plan on improving throughout the year.

If you are interested in joining the swim team, please speak with Head Coach Andrew Stewart. They are always looking for competitive athletes.
